Synchrothon 2011

The Synchrothon 2011 was October 15 from 3-6pm at the Redmond Pool.  The Synchrothon is the first of two main fundraisers Seattle Synchro hosts each year.  Swimmers complete laps and reach distances to raise money for the Seattle Synchro Booster Club.  Proceeds from this fundraiser are used to fund new team suits, sound equipment, team travel expenses, social events for swimmers, and other operating costs for Seattle Synchro.  Synchrothon at St. Edwards

Thank you to everyone who helped organize the Synchrothon!  Special thanks to Eva Gonzalez for organizing us for this event, Svea Dagel for creating the swimmer certificates and organizing snacks, Wendy Strand for helping prepare and deliver snacks, Jerry Chungbin for being our announcer, and all the parents that counted laps, and our swimmers for working hard to help raise funds.  To date (October 19th 2011), we have raised $1,400 against our goal of $4,800.  Please continue to encourage family, friends, colleagues, and constituents to donate. If you would like to see who has donated thus far on behalf of your swimmer, please log into the Seattle Synchro website and visit the following link.

Increase you Donation with Corporate Non-Profit Programs:  Did you know the Booster Club is a non-profit organization, also known as a 501(c)(3), and eligible for company monetary matches and volunteer hour donations? That means if you work for or retire from Boeing, for instance, and donate money for the Synchrothon, the company will match part or the entire donation. Volunteer hours are also rewarded by some companies, where a certain amount of time volunteered can be turned into a donation for the Booster Club. Take advantage of these great corporate programs to help us achieve our fundraising goal! Follow the Boeing and Microsoft links, but there are similar programs at many companies.

All donations received go towards helping the team purchase new suits, sound equipment, coaches travel/training, coaches certifications, scholarships, and other team related expenses.  Please email treasurer@seattlesynchro.com with questions.

Thank you all in advance for your interest and support.
